FAQ: Software
What web browser would you suggest as an alternative to Internet Explorer?

I would suggest looking at Firefox from Mozilla.org. Tabbed browsing, tons of customization options and none of the security holes that IE has make this a great choice. Click the Firefox logo to go to their site and read more or download the software.

What e-mail application would you suggest as an alternative to Outlook or Outlook Express?

Here again, I would suggest looking toward Mozilla.org for applications that are free and work very well. The features available in Thunderbird make it superior to almost any e-mail application that you can find either pre-installed on your computer or available on the net. Click the Thunderbird logo for more info.
