FAQ: Hardware
Should I have a computer built or should I buy?
If you're looking for a new computer this question can be an important one. I encourage people to build their own computers when they have the skills to do so and I discourage the building process when they do not. This includes having someone you know build one for you. This can make a friendship strain when something goes wrong. Instead, if you're uncomfortable or uncertain of how to do it yourself, call Dell. These folks know what they're doing. If you need help deciding what you need and what you do not need, enlist the help of that friend that was going to build the computer to help you decipher what it all means. This way, when you get to the purchase point you will already know what you do and do not need.

If you need someone to walk you through the on-line purchase process, this is something we can do. We'll sit with you, in front of one of our computers and step through the on-line purchase process with you. This way you can be certain that you are not paying more or getting less than you actually need.
